The NFL Draft combine begins this week and former Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks is expected to showcase to the professionals just why he’s such a freak.
Back in the summer, Burks was benching 380 pounds, squatting 500 and power-cleaning 320. And, what the NFL scouts like to see most among wideouts, Burks has hands the size of Giannis Antetokoumpo.
It bodes well for where Arkansas greatest receiver in history should be drafted. Mel Kiper Jr., the original draft specialist, had Burks going 19th to Philadelphia in his latest mock draft released Tuesday. Burks has been seen as high as No. 12.
The Warren, Arkansas, native has more receiving yards and receiving touchdowns than any three-year player in Razorbacks history. He finished the 2021 season with 66 receptions for 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns during the regular season as he opted out of Arkansas’ bowl game against Penn State.
