Who’s next? United States Golf Association announces 2022 executive committee nominations

Stu Francis will again serve as USGA president while Fred Perpall has been nominated as president-elect.

On Tuesday, the United States Golf Association announced its 2022 nominations for the 15-person executive committee that provides strategic and financial oversight as the USGA’s policy-making and governance board.

Stu Francis, currently in his seventh year as a member of the USGA Executive Committee, will serve the final year of his three-year term as USGA president, with Fred Perpall, in his third year on the committee, as the nomination for president-elect. Sinclair Eaddy Jr. and Kevin Hammer were each nominated to serve a three-year term on the committee, while Tony Anderson and Deborah Platt Majoras were nominated to serve a second three-year term.

“I’m excited to work with Stu, Fred, and all the members of the USGA Executive Committee,” said Mike Whan, CEO of the USGA via a release. “I’m grateful for their support of the organization and our mission and their commitment to and passion for the future of the game.”

The election of committee members will take place at the USGA’s annual meeting Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, in Carlsbad, California. If elected, Eaddy and Hammer will take over for retiring members Mike Bailey and Stephen Beebe.
