The Los Angeles Chargers (4-7) have opened up as 1.5-point favorites over the Denver Broncos (3-8) heading into their Week 13 matchup of the 2019 regular season, per BetMGM.
The Chargers are coming off a much-needed bye week after suffering two close consecutive losses to divisional opponents — Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.
Meanwhile, the Broncos have also dropped their last two games to the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills.
Los Angeles is looking to turn things around and end the season on a strong note. The team will be getting safeties Derwin James and Adrian Phillips back, as well as offensive tackle Russell Okung. Quarterback Philip Rivers is looking to bounce back after tossing 14 interceptions through 11 games.
It hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows for Denver, who has talent on the roster but they can’t string wins together late in the game. It’s been a quarterback rollercoaster as Joe Flacco was hit with a neck injury four weeks ago, and they’ve been forced to roll with Brandon Allen while rookie Drew Lock recovers from a thumb injury.
The last time the two teams met was on Oct. 6. The Chargers fell behind early on in the contest and despite the late comeback attempt, they were unable to prevail and the Broncos walked away with the victory by the score of 20-13.
This weekend’s matchup will begin at 1:25 p.m. PT and will be televised on CBS.
