The Chargers are set to face the Vikings on Sunday afternoon in Week 3 of the 2023 regular season.
Both teams find themselves with a 0-2 record and are desperately searching for their first win.
Los Angeles enters this game with an uneven squad, as they’ve been efficient on offense, averaging 29 points per game through the first two weeks. But they’ve struggled to keep opposing teams from scoring, allowing 30.5 PPG.
Minnesota will be looking to exploit arguably the biggest weakness of the Bolts, with that being their pass defense. The Vikings have the second-best offense through the air, averaging 337 yards per game and Kirk Cousins is tied for the most passing touchdowns (6).
If there is anything that the Chargers can take advantage of, it’s Minnesota’s rush defense, which ranks 29th in the league. Los Angeles, on the other hand, is averaging 145 rushing yards per game, with most of them coming in Week 1 against the Dolphins.
The Vikings have been susceptible to turning the ball over. They have the most giveaways in the league with seven.
Nonetheless, this will likely be an offensive shootout which could come down to the last drive to decide who comes out victorious.
