The history of the NBA goes back more than three-quarters of a century, and the history of the Boston Celtics starts at the very beginning of it all. They were one of a handful of clubs that has existed since the very start of the league in its Basketball Association of America (BAA) days.
And in that time, there has been an almost dizzying array of players on the roster of the Celtics on any given season, leading the team to an NBA-record 17 titles. While it might come up in the course of a season or when a player joins the team, the number of left-handed players who have worn the green and white over the decades does not readily leap to mind.
To that end, we put together a list of the greatest lefties to suit up for Boston (and before you ask, Larry Bird’s legendary left-handed game isn’t enough to count). While there might be others we missed, here’s our non-comprehensive account of the best of those left-handed players to play for the Celtics.
“Players who currently wear No. 6 – such as (Los Angeles) Lakers‘ LeBron James – will be grandfathered,” added Charania. https://t.co/FT1YxxUCyn
