The announce assignment for the Super Bowl is a sweet one. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be calling their second big game in three years for CBS when the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday from Raymond James Stadium.
The reason for CBS being on the call is a trade with NBC, which gave up this year’s game for the opportunity to broadcast the 2022 Super Bowl as a lede-in to its Winter Olympics coverage.
Nantz will be on play by play, Romo color commentary. This will be Romo’s second Super Bowl, the first call came in 2019 between the Rams and Patriots. This will be Nantz’s sixth on play-by-play.
The sideline reporters are Tracy Wolfson, Evan Washburn, and Jay Feely. Former official Gene Steratore is the Rules Analyst. This is the third Super Bowl assignment for Wolfson, Washburn, and Feely; Steratore’s second.
