DaShaun White, LB
Oklahoma’s defensive performance was far from fantastic but it was steady and they made just enough plays to help the Sooners win the game.
DaShaun White filled gaps and was in the right place at the right time for a defense that had some real head-scratching moments overall. For an older player that hasn’t had a flashy season, it was good to see a veteran step up and make some plays during the game to help Oklahoma seel the win.
White had seven total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in Oklahoma’s win over TCU. The highlight of his performance was the 37-yard fumble recovery and return that nearly ended in a touchdown for the Oklahoma Sooners. Unfortunately, White lost his grip on the ball reaching for the pylon and it rolled out of the back of the end zone for a touchback.
Otherwise, it was a good performance for one of the elder statesmen on the squad.
