Jadon Haselwood, WR
Hat trick Haselwood. It certainly has a ring to it. While the name is catchy, the performance was even better. Former top-five recruit Jadon Haselwood has fought relentlessly to get on the field and show the mountains of potential he has. This season he’s had limited flashy moments but has been steady making big catches and being pound for pound the best blocker on the team. On Saturday night, he was able to show why Lincoln Riley recruited him to Oklahoma personally. Haselwood finished with 56 yards on a team-leading six catches, three of which went for touchdowns.
Prior to the game, we discussed the importance of a secondary star emerging at wide receiver. After his performance, it’s safe to say that guy may be Jadon Haselwood.
Bill Bedenbaugh, OL Coach
Offensive Line Coach Bill Bedenbaugh had a rough start as a coach this year. His unit has struggled and has been a large part of Oklahoma’s offensive issues as a whole. They struggled to move guys in the run game and were getting beat and outplayed in the passing game.
Against TCU, the Oklahoma Sooners offensive line put together their third straight solid performance. Bedenbaugh has these linemen playing at a really high level right now and it’s only going to get better the more confident they get. Caleb Williams comfort level navigating a pocket has helped the Oklahoma Sooners pass protection. The more comfortable he gets, the better it will all look for the Oklahoma Sooners offensive line.
