Which SEC foe poses the biggest threat to Georgia?

One SEC team poses the biggest threat to Georgia’s CFP hopes.

The Georgia Bulldogs of the 2023 season had its hopes of a three-peat national championship run killed by the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. At the end of the day, Georgia’s Kirby Smart could hardly ever get the best of Alabama’s Nick Saban, going 1-5 against him as a head coach.

In 2024, the Crimson Tide will be led by former Washington Huskies head coach, Kalen DeBoer. Saban announced his retirement shortly after the conclusion of the 2023 season.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith recently went on a rant detailing why even without Saban, Georgia’s biggest threat is Alabama. The two meet for a regular-season contest in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 28, 2024

Smith mentioned the recent history between the two programs, as well as the coaching success of DeBoer at his previous jobs. He was also very excited about the players on the Crimson Tide roster, especially quarterback Jalen Milroe and what he will do behind ne of the best offensive lines in all of college football.

College Sports Wire will cotninue to cover the SEC and all of college football as the 2024 season begins.
