The Senior Bowl and the Super Bowl are in the rearview mirror. Next up is the NFL combine, which begins next week in Indianapolis.
That means it’s time for Daniel Jeremiah’s second mock draft.
In his first mock draft last month, Jeremiah had USC quarterback Caleb Williams going No. 1 to the Chicago Bears and UNC quarterback Drake Maye to the Washington Commanders at No. 2.
Jeremiah had LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels landing with the New England Patriots at No. 3 overall?
Would Jeremiah’s new mock draft be the same as version 1.0?
Jeremiah has Williams going to the Bears again, with Maye once again landing in Washington. Here’s what Jeremiah said about the Commanders.
I’m sure Washington will have attractive trade offers for this pick, but new general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn get their quarterback of the future.
This time around, Jeremiah has Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. going third overall to New England, with Daniels falling to No. 6 and the New York Giants.
Two of the top three quarterbacks in this draft playing the NFC East? That would be interesting. Jeremiah also had a fourth quarterback landing in the top 10, with Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy going to the Atlanta Falcons at No. 8.
Something else of note, Jeremiah had 10 offensive linemen going in round one. Outside of a quarterback, the Commanders desperately need to improve in the offensive trenches.
