Once upon a time, the Pac-12 conference was viewed as college football’s cream of the crop. Whether it was Pete Caroll’s USC Trojans of the early 2000s or Andy Smith’s Cal Bears back in the 1920s, the conference seemingly always had schools in contention for a national championship.
It’s been a while since a Pac-12 school was last crowned there was a championship hopeful, and even longer since there was a national champion. The last school to win it all was USC back in 2004.
Outside of the aforementioned Trojans and Bears of yesteryear, no other member of the conference has won multiple national championships. Some haven’t won any.
