Where’s Washington? Back in the top 25 of the US LBM Coaches Poll

The Washington Huskies are back inside the top 25 of the US LBM Coaches Poll

Where’s Washington? Jedd Fisch doesn’t need to ask that question anymore because following a 35-3 victory over Weber State, the Huskies are back inside the US LBM Coaches Poll at No. 25

As Florida State and Texas A&M fell out of the rankings, the Huskies showed that they were more than worthy of being included. Jonah Coleman led a dominant ground game, racking up 127 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 16 carries, while quarterback Will Rogers led an efficient passing attack, throwing for 250 yards and a touchdown.

Defensive coordinator Steve Belichick also established his elite scheme, holding the Wildcats to under 100 yards passing in his debut as a college coordinator, which earned him a game ball from Fisch.

The Huskies have another opportunity to move up in the rankings in Week Two as the Eastern Michigan Eagles come to town for a 12:30 PM PST kickoff and, with a dominant showing, could continue to rise in the rankings, as they’re just 6 points behind the No. 24 Louisville Cardinals.
