With the latest College Football Playoff coming out, people were wondering where the Georgia Bulldogs were going to land. Well, the committee has ranked the Georgia Bulldogs as the No. 3 team, only behind Ohio State and Oregon.
It’s a strange turn of events for the Bulldogs, as they’ve had impressive wins against the No. 23 Clemson Tigers and the No. 5 Texas Longhorns. Georgia did lose to No. 11 Alabama. Meanwhile, Ohio State has not beat a top 25 opponent outside of Penn State, who had a limited Drew Allar at quarterback.
Even then, Georgia’s sometimes looked inconsistent against opponents like Mississippi State, Kentucky, and Florida just recently. Still, UGA’s on top of the SEC standings and rank No. 2 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Some of that inconsistency has come from Carson Beck’s sloppy play as of late. He has six interceptions in the last two games and eleven interceptions in the last five games.
Even then, the Georgia defense has been holding the fort, led by potential first round picks Mykel Williams and Malaki Starks, stud freshman safety K.J. Bolden, and incredible linebacker play from CJ Allen, Raylen Wilson and Jalon Walker.
