The No. 6 Wisconsin Badgers prepare for a gigantic tilt later this afternoon against No. 2 Purdue.
The Badgers recently succumbed to the perils of playing on the road at Nebraska — something no Big Ten team has been able to overcome this year (including Purdue). The loss dropped the team to 16-5 overall and 8-2 in Big Ten play.
Purdue recently improved to 9-2, moving it to first place in the Big Ten standings entering today.
One other thing we’re monitoring that will be greatly affected by today’s outcome is Joe Lunardi’s bracketology. Wisconsin has been a 2-seed for the past month, and even had a chance to move to the 1-line with a strong week.
Well, Thursday’s loss at Nebraska dropped the Badgers to a 3-seed in Lunardi’s latest bracket. The Badgers are the highest-ranked 3-seed and the No. 9 team overall.

A win today against Purdue and the Badgers are easily back on the 2-line entering the rest of February.
