The Tennessee Titans fell just short to the Kansas City Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 9, losing 20-17 in overtime.
Despite the loss, the Titans maintained their lead in the AFC South over the second-place Indianapolis Colts, who put up a stinker against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
However, the Jacksonville Jaguars did inch closer to the Titans thanks to their win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Houston Texans gained no ground on Tennessee with their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Here’s a look at the AFC South standings going into Week 10:
- Tennessee Titans (5-3)
- Indianapolis Colts (3-5-1)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6)
- Houston Texans (1-6-1)
Looking ahead to Week 10, the Titans will host the Denver Broncos, while the Colts will travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. The Jaguars draw a road matchup with the Chiefs, and the New York Giants will host Houston.
While the Titans were able to maintain their lead in the division, they did fall two spots in the AFC playoff picture, with the Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens jumping them.
However, if Baltimore loses on Monday night, the Titans will move back up one spot. Here’s a look at the entire AFC playoff picture going into Week 10.
