Where Oregon football stands in penultimate College Football Playoff bracket

For one final time, the college football world will gather around on Tuesday night and watch as the hypothetical College Football Playoff rankings are teased on ESPN, arguing about what’s right, and what’s wrong.

Next week, these rankings get set in stone.

The penultimate playoff rankings were revealed on Tuesday night, and to nobody’s surprise, the Oregon Ducks held onto the No. 1 spot after becoming the only team in the nation to finish undefeated in the regular season.

Oregon’s projected CFP opponent

As the projected No. 1 seed, the Ducks are set to receive a first-round bye in the playoff, followed by a neutral site matchup against the winner of the game between the No. 8 seed, and No. 9 seed.

In this case, that means Oregon would play No. 6 Ohio State or No. 7 Tennessee in the second round.
