The Summer months are here and as we await the start of the next college basketball season for 2024-25, more early preseason rankings are rolling in.
The NBA draft is here and players have made decisions in the transfer portal as well, leaving us a good look at rosters for next season. And with that, On3 has released its updated way-too-early top 25 for the season in June.
For North Carolina, they were just outside the top 10 in the rankings, checking in at No. 11.
Here is what they had to say about UNC with a projected starters list as well:

Key additions: Ian Jackson, Drake Powell, Cade Tyson, Ven-Allen Lubin
Projected starters: RJ Davis, Elliot Cadeau, Ian Jackson, Jae’Lyn Withers, Ven-Allen Lubin
The ranking is pretty much in line with most sites for way-too-early top 25’s as the Tar Heels have been in the top 10 or just outside of it.
There are certainly question marks about the roster for next season but they do return a very good backcourt and welcome in a good recruiting class for the 2024 cycle. It will be up to Hubert Davis to find a way to continue UNC’s success coming off a regular season ACC title.
