In the latest Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, weirdly, Michigan football didn’t move anywhere.
There was a ton that happened on Saturday — Florida lost to Texas A&M, Alabama won but gave up more than 600 yards on defense, Texas lost to Oklahoma, Mizzou beat LSU — but none of it impacted Michigan, as the Wolverines stood pat at No. 19 overall.
SMU managed to leap the maize and blue, but otherwise, there was little movement of the idle Big Ten teams. Wisconsin moved down a spot, Ohio State moved up one and Penn State stayed right where it was. Minnesota is now in the poll, ranked No. 25 — meaning the Wolverines are assured to have a ranked-on-ranked matchup in Big Ten Week One.
There’s now but one Amway Coaches Poll left before game week in the Big Ten Conference.
