Where Kayshon Boutte lands on Mel Kiper’s latest big board

Boutte remains high on Kiper’s board despite a slow start.

[autotag]Kayshon Boutte[/autotag] hasn’t had a prolific start to the year, but that hasn’t changed what Mel Kiper thinks of him. Boutte ranks 13th on his latest big board.

“I don’t quite understand how Boutte only has 10 catches for 93 yards and no touchdowns this season,” Kiper wrote.

Kiper added that Boutte’s best traits are his ability to stretch the field and his hand-eye coordination.

“I hope he gets more involved in the new LSU offense, because it hasn’t been a great start. He needs to get the ball 10 times a game,” Kiper said.

It’s no surprise that Boutte remains that high on boards despite the slow start. Defenses have focused heavily on him and LSU hasn’t forced him the ball. Boutte will not play against New Mexico, but upon his return, look for LSU to continue to try and get him involved early in the game.
