Where is Penn State ranked in the AP Top 25 after a one-point win against Minnesota?

Penn State keeps hold of its ranking in the AP Top 25 after a gutsy road win against Minnesota.

Penn State held firm in this week’s AP Top 25 after narrowly escaping Minneapolis with a win Saturday afternoon. Despite a one-point victory against an unranked Minnesota team, the AP voters saw no team worthy of replacing the Nittany Lions in the poll’s top 10.

Penn State kept its No. 4 ranking in this week’s AP Top 25, rounding out an unchanged top four. The Nittany Lions are the third highest-ranked one-loss team in the Top 25 this week. Indiana, the No. 5 team in last week’s poll, fell five spots after losing to Ohio State.

Oregon remains firmly in first place in the AP Top 25, with all 61 first-place votes this week in their favor. Ohio State continued to hold the No. 2 ranking. SMU and Miami joined the top 10 this week, while Georgia moved up two spots to No. 6. The biggest gainer of the week was Arizona State, which took down BYU in dramatic fashion. The Sun Devils are now the highest-ranked Big 12 team and part of a four-way tie atop the conference standings.

Penn State also held onto its No. 4 ranking in the US LBM Coaches Poll. The Nittany Lions will face the 4-7 Maryland Terrapins to close out the regular season next weekend with hopes of either clinching a CFP home game or a spot in the Big Ten Championship game.
