The LSU Tigers were slated to play No. 1 Alabama this weekend in Baton Rouge. Unfortunately, due to an outbreak of COVID-19, the annual battle was canceled, and no makeup date has been announced at the current time.
At 2-3, the 2020 season hasn’t gone quite as planned for the defending national champions.
LSU, which lost 14 players to the 2020 NFL draft and several others to either the transfer portal or opt-outs due to COVID-19, has struggled, especially defensively.
Despite those struggles, weekly bowl projections still have LSU appearing in the postseason.

Erick Smith of USA TODAY Sports recently released his latest bowl projections and has the Tigers facing the Northwestern Wildcats in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl.
The Music City Bowl is played on Dec. 30 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tn.
Northwestern currently sits at 3-0 on the season is ranked No. 23 in the most recent Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.
With LSU’s game against Alabama off for this weekend, the Tigers’ next game is currently for Nov. 21 at Arkansas.
