The LSU Tigers continued their strong play last week, picking up a third straight win in convincing fashion, defeating the Auburn Tigers, 104-80, on Saturday in Baton Rouge.
LSU improved to 14-6 on the season and 9-4 in SEC play.
Was the win enough for LSU to be ranked in the latest Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports?
Unfortunately for the Tigers, they received just 13 votes; however, for the second straight week, they did receive more votes than in the previous week. With road games at Georgia and No. 20 Arkansas this week, LSU has a prime opportunity to impress voters for next week’s poll.
As far as the rest of the poll, the top remains unchanged, with Gonzaga, Baylor, and Michigan holding down the first three spots. Illinois moves up one spot to No. 4, while Ohio State drops one place to No. 5.
