Last week was a good week for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Alabama had the week off yet finally moved into the No. 1 spot in college football after Clemson’s loss at Notre Dame.

The 6-0 Crimson Tide were slated to face bitter rival LSU this weekend in Baton Rouge, but the game was canceled due to an outbreak of COVID-19 at LSU.

With another bye this week, Alabama doesn’t take the field again until Nov. 21 when it hosts Kentucky.

In the meantime, Erick Smith of USA TODAY Sports released his latest bowl projections after Clemson’s loss and, to the surprise of no one, the Crimson Tide remain in the College Football Playoff.

This week, Smith has Alabama facing Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1. The other College Football Playoff semifinal has Ohio State going against Clemson in the Rose Bowl.

In the national championship game, Smith has the Crimson Tide facing the Ohio State Buckeyes, which will occur on Jan. 11.

Alabama is off to a historic start offensively in 2020, with quarterback Mac Jones as the current favorite for the Heisman Trophy.
