Where does SEC Media predict Texas A&M finishes in the West?

Alabama is good again? No way

SEC Media days reached its conclusion after its final day last Thursday, where we had the annual pleasure of hearing from all 14 head coaches on their outlook for their 2022 season, opinions on NIL, and Conference realignment. Now the fun part begins! no, actual football doesn’t begin for another month, I’m talking about preseason conference final standing predictions!

As a healthy reminder, Texas A&M has never won the SEC West since entering the conference after the 2011 season, with their closest attempts coming after finishing 2nd in 2020 while going 9-1 on the season with an appearance in the Orange Bowl, and tied for 2nd during the 2021 season while finishing 8-4 on the year.

This season, to absolutely no ones surprise, Alabama is predicted as the top dog once again, followed by Texas A&M finishing second (Also received three votes to win the West), then Arkansas, Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi State, and coming in 7th, the potentially Aggie transplant Zach Calzada led Auburn Tigers.

The 2022 season is an important one for Jimbo Fisher and Co., after securing the greatest recruiting class in history during the 2022 cycle, the program has it’s sights on securing it’s first appearance in the college football playoff, which will most likely take at least an 11 wins during the season, a feat they’ve only accomplished 3 times in the last 30 years. The time is now, so let’s make history boys.
