After leading the nation in receiving yards in 2023, [autotag]Malik Nabers[/autotag] enters the upcoming NFL draft as one of the top receiver prospects and a possible top 10 pick.
But in a loaded receiver class that also includes stars like Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze and Keon Coleman, where exactly does Nabers stack up? ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. recently addressed that exact question during an appearance on First Draft with his co-host Field Yates.
Kiper has Nabers second among receivers that have currently declared behind Odunze, though Harrison would take over the top spot if he officially declares. Kiper also gave some love to [autotag]Brian Thomas Jr.[/autotag], who is considered one of the better prospects outside the top group.
“The way I line them up right now,” Kiper said, per On3. “Rome Odunze, Malik Nabers, then Keon Coleman. Then you can’t forget about this other group of receivers like Adonai Mitchell from Texas, Xavier Worthy from Texas. I mentioned Ladd McConkey, Xavier Legette from South Carolina is really good. Brian Thomas Jr., the other wide receiver we talked about with his size and catch radius … To me, this receiver group is the best in the draft.”
Nabers is 17 yards away from becoming LSU’s all-time receiving leader, and he’s hinted at the fact that he plans to participate in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Wisconsin on Jan. 1.
