LSU has done well at the quarterback position since Joe Burrow’s success on the 2019 season, with the talent of Max Johnson, Myles Brennan, TJ Finley and Garrett Nussmeier currently on the roster.
But the recruiting game never stops, and LSU looks to stay strong at quarterback, with 2023 five-star prospect Arch Manning being one of the players the team aims to add in the future.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder out of Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans, LA is currently listed in the 247Sports composite rankings as the No. 1 pro-style quarterback in the country and he’s the No. 3 overall 2023 recruit.
Programs all across the country are in pursuit of Manning, with LSU, Clemson, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas appearing to be the programs most seriously in the mix for him.

So, just how good are LSU’s chances to bring him on in Baton Rouge?
Rivals recruiting analyst Adam Gorney seems optimistic for the Tigers’ case.
“If there are no off-the-field concerns for LSU, then the Tigers are going to be tough to beat,” Gorney wrote. “I could see Alabama, I could see Clemson, maybe even Texas, but I still feel like LSU holds an edge.”
There’s a long road ahead before we can get a good idea of who Manning’s top options truly are, but there’s no doubt LSU’s offense will instantly elevate if it manages to snag the signal-caller.
