Where does Kalen DeBoer rank among college football’s highest paid coaches?

DeBoer is among the top paid coaches in college football.

On Wednesday morning, USA TODAY Sports released their annual coaches compensation report of head coaches’ salaries across college football, with many of the nation’s top programs sitting among the top of the list.

However, just where does new Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer sit on that list?

According to USA TODAY Sports, DeBoer is the seventh highest-paid head coach in college football this season at $10 million. DeBoer, according to the report, also has a maximum bonus this season of $1,175,000.

Another interesting number according to the report is DeBoer’s buyout, which is the second-highest in college football at $70,050,000. DeBoer is only behind Georgia head coach Kirby Smart in terms of the highest-buyout, as Smart’s sits at $118,083,333.

Smart is also the highest-paid coach in college football this season at a little over $13 million. DeBoer is behind only Smart and Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian ($10,600,000) as the highest-paid coaches in the SEC this season.
