ESPN recently ranked the draft-eligible quarterbacks for the 2024 NFL Draft. Where does [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] rank among all of those quarterbacks? After winning the Heisman Trophy, has he propelled himself to No. 1?
The answer to that is no. Daniels comes in as the No. 3 player on the list. He is behind USC’s Caleb Williams and North Carolina’s Drake Maye. Williams won the Heisman trophy two years ago and put up great numbers for the Trojans but he struggled this Fall. Maye has put up great numbers but his team has struggled to win games.
Even as the No. 3 overall quarterback, Daniels could see his name called in the top 10 of the 2024 NFL draft this spring. Daniels was recently projected to be the No. 3 overall pick of the draft by the New Orleans Saints.
After an impressive first season at LSU in 2022, Jayden Daniels found a new gear in 2023 as he won the Heisman Trophy. He led the nation in total offense and skyrocketed up NFL Draft boards as a result.
“Daniels did it all as he threw for 3,812 yards, rushed for 1,134, and totaled 50 touchdowns — 40 passing and 10 rushing. He has become an interesting draft hopeful after opting out of the bowl game, and he’ll certainly be a name to monitor in the lead-up to April’s draft.”
Daniels will attend the Tigers bowl game but will not play.
