Where does Adam Thielen rank among highest-paid WRs?

Thielen had a down 2019 season, fighting an injury, but in 2017 and 2018, he combined for 204 catches, 2,649 yards and 13 touchdowns.

With Patrick Mahomes signing a 10-year deal worth up to $503 million earlier this week, it got us thinking a lot about contracts.

We already took a look at the highest-paid Vikings for 2020 along with where Kirk Cousins ranks among the top-paid quarterbacks.

Now, we move onto to two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Adam Thielen.

Thielen is set to make $4.8 million in base salary in 2020 per Spotrac, a mark that ranks just 31st in the league. However, in total cash, Thielen is set to make $9.968 million, a mark that ranks 23rd in the league — right behind Tyler Lockett and ahead of Jamison Crowder.

Thielen, 29, still has four years and $64.2 million remaining on his contract after the 2020 season.

So far in his career, Thielen has made $29.1 million. After the 2020 season, that will be closer to $38 million. If Thielen plays out the length of his contract, which seems unlikely given the landscape of the NFL, Thielen will make more than $91 million during his career.

Not bad for an undrafted free agent.

Thielen had a down 2019 season, fighting a hamstring injury, but in 2017 and 2018, he combined for 204 catches, 2,649 yards and 13 touchdowns.
