BPI is ESPN’s basketball power index. It’s put together by the analytics team at ESPN and is meant to be a predictive rating of how a team will play in the future. It takes almost everything into account.

LSU currently ranks No. 7 here as well, having played the No. 38 strength of schedule.

Like KenPom, BPI also has LSU pegged as the top defense in the country. They have a slightly more favorable view of the LSU offense, ranking the Tigers 48th on that side of the ball.

ESPN projects LSU to finish the regular season with 26 wins.
