Even despite their 34-0 shutout win over the Missouri Tigers, the Alabama Crimson Tide did not move in USA TODAY Sports’ latest NCAA Re-Rank, staying put in their No. 16 ranking.
However, with the program now facing an important stretch after their bye week that must include four-straight wins in order to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive, where do Alabama’s remaining opponents rank?
According to the latest NCAA Re-Rank, the LSU Tigers, who Alabama plays next, are the highest-ranked team remaining on Alabama’s schedule, as they dropped six spots in this update to sit just above the Crimson Tide at No. 15.
After LSU, Alabama’s next highest-ranked opponent is Oklahoma, but the Sooners dropped seven spots this week to No. 42 after their road loss at Ole Miss. Alabama is also ranked significantly higher than their other remaining FBS opponent, the rival Auburn Tigers, as the program jumped six spots to No. 84.
Alabama’s other opponent – the Mercer Bears – are not ranked as they are a FCS program.
What will Alabama’s record be against these four in the coming weeks?
