Where Colorado stands in ESPN’s updated women’s bracketology after beating LSU

See where the Buffs stand in ESPN’s latest bracketology after beating LSU

Fresh off one of the biggest wins in program history, the Colorado Buffaloes are sitting strong in ESPN’s updated NCAA women’s bracketology.

Analyst Charlie Creme gave the Buffs a No. 3 seed, which would allow them to host first and second-round games at the CU Events Center. The Tuesday projection has Colorado facing No. 14 seed Hawaii in the Round of 64.

We’re obviously only one game into the season, but the Buffs’ stock is high right now following their 92-78 win over the defending national champion LSU Tigers on Monday evening.

Head coach JR Payne’s squad is currently ranked No. 18 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and No. 20 in the AP Poll. If the Buffs take care of business against Le Moyne and Oklahoma State later this week, they should rise considerably in both polls.

Colorado’s home opener against the Le Moyne Dolphins is set for Wednesday at 6 p.m. MT.
