CBS Sports college football analyst Josh Pate doesn’t think too highly of the Clemson Tigers’ chances heading into 2024.
In his newly released preseason power ratings/Top 25 poll for the 2024 season, Pate rates Dabo Swinney’s team behind both Florida State and Miami among ACC schools. The Tigers are rated No. 19 overall, one spot below the Hurricanes.
Georgia topped the list at No. 1 with Ohio State at No. 2. Oregon, Texas, and Alabama rounded out the top five. The Tigers open the season against the Bulldogs at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on August 31. Kickoff is set for noon ET. The game will be televised nationally by ABC.
