Where Clemson ranks in ESPN’s updated 2024 recruiting class rankings

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaching staff are building a strong 2024 recruiting class.

The Clemson football program year after year recruits with the best of the best, and things are not changing in the 2024 recruiting class.

ESPN does their class recruiting rankings a little differently than others, updating them far less than 247Sports or On3, whose class rankings are regularly updated as commitments are announced. ESPN recently released their updated class rankings ($), with Clemson just outside of the top ten, ranking No.11.

“The Tigers have built a strong foundation for their 2024 class with several ESPN 300 commitments, including one of the top TE prospects in Christian Bentancur. He can be a well-rounded playmaker with his size (6-5, 240), aggressiveness as a blocker and hands and body control as a receiver. Bryant Wesco is a sharp route runner from Texas who can create separation and get open with his quickness. Landing Sammy Brown out of Georgia was a huge pickup. A well-rounded five-star athlete who excels in wrestling and track, Brown can be a sideline-to-sideline playmaking presence. Noah Dixon is a safety with good ball skills who can also support the run well with his tackling abilities. Tavoy Feagin out of Florida is another nice four-star addition to the secondary, as he is a corner with excellent quickness who is also not afraid to mix it up and be physical.”

The Tigers currently have 17 commits in the 2024 class, headlined by five stars Sammy Brown and Bryant Wesco. They have the second-highest-ranked class in the ACC right now, with Florida State ahead with the No.6 ranked class.

More work still needs to be done, but this has been an excellent start for Swinney and his coaching staff.
