Where Clemson ranks in CBS Sports updated college football top 25 power rankings after Week 2

Clemson remains in the top 25 of CBS Sports college football power rankings after Week 2 of action.

Following Week 2 of college football, multiple different rankings have been released, with Dabo Swinney and Clemson landing in different spots, depending on where you look.

For the US LBM Coaches Poll, the Tigers remain a top-25 team, landing at No.22 in the country. In the AP Poll, the Tigers are the first team out falling out of the rankings.

The coaches remain firm with the Tigers, while the media has less expectations for the team for the rest of the season. So, how does CBS Sports feel? Right now, they are aligned with the Coaches Poll, ranking Clemson No.22 in their updated college football power rankings. Here is what writer Dennis Dodd had to say about Swinney and the Tigers.

Cade Klubnik was booed as the Tigers fell behind Charleston Southern early. Klubs responded with a career-high 315 yards passing. Nothing like loyalty, eh, Tiger fans?

While this clearly isn’t the best assessment of how the Clemson football program is doing right now, it is fair to knock Clemson fans for the way they handled the Tigers matchup against Charleston Southern. After the way DJ Uiagalelei was treated and ran out of Clemson, it is risky to show recruits this side of things.

Obviously, everyone isn’t doing this, and I do understand the frustration many of us had watching that first half. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes boos are warranted. It just feels like a slippery slope.
