After trimming their roster to 52 players on Saturday, the Rams are on the hunt for help. They’ll be scouring the waiver wire for players cut by other teams, potentially submitting a claim if they fill a need on Los Angeles’ roster.
The Rams can’t just add any player they want, however. They have to hope a player they claim isn’t also claimed by a team ahead of them in the waiver order.
That won’t be easy considering where the Rams are in the waiver order. Since it’s based on the draft order from this year, the Rams are 20th in the waiver order. So if any of the 19 teams ahead of them claim the same player, the Rams will not be awarded that player.
Here’s the order of the top 20 in the waiver priority list.
1. Cincinnati Bengals
2. Washington Redskins
3. Detroit Lions
4. New York Giants
5. Miami Dolphins
6. Los Angeles Chargers
7. Carolina Panthers
8. Arizona Cardinals
