[autotag]Hailie Deegan[/autotag] and AM Racing have parted ways during the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. This was announced in the early morning hours on Monday after Joey Logano brought the No. 15 Xfinity car home in eighth place at the Chicago Street Course on Saturday. Now, Deegan’s future in NASCAR is up in the air as AM Racing moves forward in 2024.
The 22-year-old driver really struggled with AM Racing, leading to the partnership’s end after 17 Xfinity Series races. So, what’s next for Deegan’s NASCAR future? There are a lot of decisions to make within her camp. The Xfinity Series hasn’t treated her well, but it would be wise to continue racing if she finds the right situation.
The NASCAR Truck Series would be the obvious place to go, but Deegan didn’t make much progress when racing at the level. Therefore, finding a competitive ride in the Xfinity Series using her sponsorship would be ideal. It would allow Deegan to run select races in good equipment, effectively giving her one last chance to prove herself in NASCAR.
If not, she could always return to the Truck Series, leave NASCAR, or pursue other racing interests. Another option could be finding another mid to lower-tier Xfinity Series team that needs a driver and earn more experience. Either way, Deegan’s future in NASCAR is very murky, and some decisions must be made soon if she wants to continue her career in the sport.
