The Chicago Bulls failed to live up to expectations the past two seasons. After going all in on Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic, the Bulls spent two years floating around the middle of the conference.
A hot start in 2021 had most fans excited, but the Bulls flamed out and have won one playoff game with their current group.
Despite their lack of success, the Bulls’ defense has actually been solid. This past season, they had the fifth-best defensive rating in the NBA (111.5). With Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams on board, they were able to make their mark on that end of the court.
This summer, they added Jevon Carter and Torrey Craig, which should improve their defense even more. In a recent mailbag on YouTube, Chicago Bulls Central discussed how good the Bulls defense could be next year.
