Brett Hundley solid in relief
Hundley had a tall task entering the game in relief. He had to hold a lead on the road against a team that always comes back, and do it in the cold rain and without hardly any practice reps.
Kliff Kingsbury said Hundley had little more practice team than scout team reps. He made plays with his arm and with his legs. He completed 4-of-9 passes for 49 yards but was victimized by a pair of drops. He also ran six times for 35 yards. Twice he ran for first downs in the game-clinching drive that ended with Kenyan Drake scoring on a three-yard run.
