No, Tom Brady did not indicate he wouldn’t be returning to the New England Patriots on Saturday. He wasn’t even addressing his upcoming decision about free agency.
A new video of Brady on the sideline at the UNC-Syracuse game showed Brady was simply answering a question about Orange men’s coach Jim Boeheim.
A previous version of the video caused a stir when Edelman could been seen and heard saying: “He’s coming back. He’s coming back.” Brady then looked like he was reacting to Edelman’s comments about a return to New England. Then Brady said something inaudible, which many took as a pessimistic remark about his return to the Patriots.
Instead, Brady was reacting to a question from the cameraman, who asked: “What’d you say to Boeheim?”
Brady responded: “He’s got it.”
What Tom Brady really said Saturday Night…
Edelman: “He’s coming back, he’s coming back.”
Random guy to Brady: "What did you tell Boeheim?"
Brady: "He's got it."
… So not "this guy" or "he's not."

Brady is a pending free agent, and he will be free to begin discussions with teams on March 16. Until then, he and the Patriots are free to negotiate an extension. However, they have reportedly not engaged in contract talks.
This seemed like one small nugget of information in the wait on Brady’s decision. Turns out, it meant absolutely nothing.
