Florida basketball nearly pulled off an upset on Saturday afternoon over the sixth-ranked Kentucky Wildcats, but instead, walked away with an 87-85 loss inside the O’Connell Center. The Gators took an eight-point lead into halftime but simply ran out of gas before the final seconds expired.
The loss drops the Orange and Blue to 10-4 on the season with a 0-1 mark in Southeastern Conference play after dropping the league opener and will most certainly keep them voteless in both of the major polls.
