What to know from Indianapolis Colts’ first Week 11 injury report vs Jets

Here is what you need to know from the Indianapolis Colts’ first Week 11 injury report ahead of their matchup vs. the Jets.

The Indianapolis Colts were back at practice on Wednesday and with that, released their first injury report of the week as they prepare for a Week 11 matchup with the New York Jets.

Of note on this Wednesday was that this injury report is an estimation of each player’s status. Wanting to be mindful of the workload on each player with the bye still a few weeks away, today’s practice was instead a walk through.

Let’s take a look at who was listed and what you need to know:

– Bernhard Raimann would exit Sunday’s game against Buffalo in the first half with a knee injury and did not return. He also would have been a non-participant on Wednesday. My guess was that this might be the case when the team added to the offensive tackle position with a practice squad addition on Tuesday. In Raimann’s place at left tackle has been rookie Matt Goncalves.

– DeForest Buckner was listed as a non-participant with a foot injury. This is a different injury then what had sidelined him earlier in the season with a high-ankle sprain sending him to IR. Buckner handled a full workload during Sunday’s loss and did not exit the game.

– EJ Speed was a limited participant with a knee injury. Just based on the injury report, we don’t know the specifics, but it’s worth noting that it was a knee injury that kept him out of the Dolphins’ game.

– After missing last week’s game, Micahel Pittman was a full participant. It’s early in the week, but that’s a good sign that he’s trending in the right direction.

– Lastly, Julian Blackmon is listed with a shoulder injury, but was a full participant–an early but good sign for Sunday. Again, we don’t know the specifics or if there is any connection, but Blackmon did miss the Colts’ Week 2 game against Green Bay with a shoulder injury.
