The Indianapolis Colts wrapped up their final practice of the week on Friday ahead of their primetime matchup on Sunday evening with the Minnesota Vikings–and with that, the team released its final injury report of the week.
Overall, for the second week in a row, this is a relatively healthy Colts team with only two players listed with injury designations, but they are two key starters.
Let’s take a look at what you need to know:
Out – LT Bernhard Raimann (concussion): Raimann entered concussion protocol on Monday after experiencing symptoms following the Houston game, where he played 100 percent of the offensive snaps. Raimann did not practice at all during the week and remains in protocols. For much of the season, he has been one of the better offensive tackles in the NFL. Without him available, the Colts will likely lean on rookie Matt Goncalves, who will make his NFL start against an aggressive Vikings’ defense.
Questionable – DE Kwity Paye (hamstring): Paye popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a hamstring injury. He was not on Wednesday’s injury report and finished the week limited the final two days. Despite missing two games, Paye is third on the team in pressures, but his impact often goes beyond the stat sheet with his willingness as a run defender and to do the dirty work as an edge setter. The Colts’ pass rush got a massive boost last week with the return of DeForest Buckner and any potential success this week against Minnesota begins with winning up front.
