What Titans said about Week 13 loss to Colts

Mike Vrabel touched on the Titans’ special teams blunders and Will Levis talked about his heated sideline exchange with DeAndre Hopkins.

The Tennessee Titans had to overcome a lot of adversity in Week 13 — most of it self-inflicted — and ultimately couldn’t come away with a win against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Despite the loss, head coach Mike Vrabel said he was proud of his team for how it fought in the 31-28 overtime defeat.

“I asked the guys to fight at the beginning of the week, and that’s exactly what they did – they fought,” Vrabel said afterward, per Jim Wyatt. “It’s unfortunate that (the Colts) made one more play than we did.

“But I’m proud of the football team, the way we fought. We lost. We didn’t give in, it’s just unfortunate we didn’t win.”

Quarterback Will Levis echoed those sentiments.

“It’s tough,” Levis said. “It’s the NFL. It’s a battle, especially these division games. We knew it was going to be a street fight all week. I was proud of how we fought, but at the end of the day they got the best of us, and it sucks. It’s disappointing.”

Now, a look at what else Vrabel, Levis and other Titans had to say about the team’s latest loss, which drops Tennessee to 4-8 on the season ahead of an impossible matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14.
