The Tennessee Titans suffered an embarrassing 40-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers in prime time on Sunday night, and in the process fell to 10-5 on the season and failed to clinch a playoff berth.
The story of this game was a story we’ve seen far too often this season: the Titans started off slow on both sides of the ball, the defense was putrid, and those factors were far too much to overcome against the Packers.
The good news for the Titans is that the Indianapolis Colts lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the day, so Tennessee still controls its own destiny for the AFC South crown.
If the Titans can notch a victory on the road over the Houston Texans in Week 17, they will secure their first division title since 2008.
It never comes easy in Nashville, does it?
Here’s what head coach Mike Vrabel and some Titans players had to say about the loss to Green Bay.
