While Tennessee Titans superstar running back Derrick Henry was given the green light to return to practice on Wednesday, the likelihood of him playing against the Houston Texans remains a longshot.
“I don’t know. I am not going to speak for (Henry’s) excitement,” Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said before practice on Wednesday, “I am excited. I can speak on my excitement to coach this football team to have a chance to go on the road and do everything we can to try and win. That is what I will speak on.”
It was originally reported that Henry could play if the Titans had not yet clinched a playoff berth prior to Week 18, but they did just that with a win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 17, making his return on Sunday less likely.
Now, with a win over the Texans on Sunday, Tennessee can lock up the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Here’s what the Titans are saying about their opponent leading up to Sunday’s noon kickoff.
