What Titans’ AFC South rivals did on Day 1 of legal tampering period

As active as the Jaguars were on Day 1 of the legal tampering period, the Colts were the opposite.

While the Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts all made at least one move on Day 1 of the legal tampering period of free agency, it was the Jacksonville Jaguars who stole the show.

And, as you’d expect, for all the wrong reasons. The Jaguars went ballistic, dropping a boatload of money on the first unofficial day of free agency. However, it wasn’t that they spent a lot of money, it’s how they spent it.

Some of those contracts were real head-scratchers, like the one they gave wide receiver Christian Kirk, which caught the attention of Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown.

As busy as the Jags were, the Colts were the exact opposite. Despite entering the offseason with more cap space than any other team, Indy was very quiet on Day 1, with their lone move being the re-signing of tight end Mo Alie-Cox.

In what might be a sign of how desperate things might be for the Colts at quarterback, they actually called the Texans to request a meeting with Deshaun Watson, but Houston was not having it.

Hey, you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take, right?
