High winds in New York City may keep the traditional giant balloons of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade grounded for the first time since 1971, but the show will go on in Manhattan on Thursday. Forecasts are calling for wind gusts over 40 mph, and the official call over whether to fly the balloons will come Thursday morning.
The 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. ET and end at 12:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
Depending on your location, the parade will begin at 9:00 in your specific time zone on NBC. You can stream the parade online via NBC.com.
The Macy’s website features a full list of giant balloons that will be included in the parade, weather permitting, and a list of performers and marching bands that will be a part of the show. Ciara, Black Eyed Peas and Chicago are all a part of the lineup.
