What time are LSU targets announcing their commitments?

Who to watch for and when on National Signing Day.

TE Danny Lewis

Lewis will announce his commitment at 12:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday.

Lewis isn’t as highly rated as some of the other players on this list, but LSU, Alabama, and Florida are interested, which says enough about his ability.

LSU also needs a tight end. If LSU doesn’t land Lewis, it’ll likely have to look at the transfer portal.

Lewis is a three-star from New Iberia, Louisiana. He attended Westgate High School and helped lead it to a state title in 2021.

247Sports has Juluke listed as his primary recruiter for Florida. LSU’s new OC, Mike Denbrock, will lead the tight end group for LSU, which could help the Tigers land Lewis.

Other Notes

  • A commitment date has not been announced, but LSU is also in the mix for three-star wide receiver Caleb Douglas.
  • If the best-case scenario plays out for LSU, and it lands its priority targets, the Tigers could finish with a top-six class in the overall rankings, which factors in the transfer portal.
  • The SEC has all but locked up the top three classes in the country: Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia.
  • LSU and Florida are engaged in a few recruiting battles that will conclude on signing day. This could be a trend with the Napier staff making Louisiana a priority.
