What should we expect from veteran forward Harrison Barnes as a San Antonio Spurs addition? The longtime Sacramento Kings swingman was dealt to San Antonio as part of the three-team deal that sent himself and a 2031 unprotected pick swap to the Spurs.
The move facilitated DeMar DeRozan getting from the Chicago Bulls to the Kings in a sign-and-trade, with Chris Duarte being sent to the Bulls with a pair of second round picks. In his last season with Sacramento, DeRozan put up 12.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game with the Kings, playing in all 82 games.
Barnes shot 47.4% from the floor overall, a very solid 38.7% from beyond the arc, and 80.1% from the free throw line. The folks behind the “SSPN: A San Antonio Spurs Podcast” YouTube channel took a closer look at what he has to offer.
